Aloka Botanicals
After 3 decades of dog rescue and using holistic methods, I wanted to give back. Because shelter animals are suffering terrible stress, leading to euthanasia, we have created a program to send herbal oils to rescue groups and shelters to use with dogs. We also sell a line of aromatherapy and herbal products to pet owners and individuals, created to enhance well being. Within the coming months we will expand the line to serve cats and other small animals.

About Us
Using tried and trusted recipes, we create small batches of herbal salves and oils as well as aromatherapy blends which can be used on both humans and animals to help dispell pain and alleviate discomfort and anxiety. Each bottle is made individually, by hand, using organic herbs and oils wherever possible.
Our Mission
The Mission of Aloka Botanicals is to help relieve the suffering of sentient beings through the use of herbs and essential oils, along with complimentary trainings or therapies. We intend to help ease the extreme stress of shelter animals by donating products to rescue groups and to any shelter which will use them.
Our History
Aloka Botanicals was born out of my 35 years of dog rescue work in California. I saw how using herbs and oils could contribute to the overall calm and well being of the animals in our care. I had personally used herbs for many years, and believed in the strength of this type of 'medicine'. The first formula created was for dogs with fear and separation anxiety, because of one of our foster dogs. Biggie started this revolution!! Within the coming months we will expand to products for cats and small animals as well as more products for the people who love them!

Essential Oils for Dogs are applied topically. You can start with just a drop or two (more for a larger dog) and run the oil from the top of the head to the tail. It's great to add in a massage, to spread the oil and calm the animal.
Essential Oils for people - Essential oils are applied topically, generally on a pulse point. They can also be rubbed into the hands lightly and spread over and into a particular area, i.e. knees, shoulder, etc.
Topical Herbal Balms and sprays for people contain only herbs and oils which had beneficial properties complimentary to one's need. These are used for pain, bug sprays, cleansing and more.
Canine Behavioral Consultations are available for people using the oils with their dogs, or for people wishing to address a particular behavioral problem with their pet. We also consult with families to guide them in bringing a dog into their home. Positive reinforcement is the only method offered in consultations, which are done primarily online.
Essential Oils for dogs and people are applied topically and may be used with a gentle massage on specific areas.
Herbal Balms & Sprays contain beneficial herbs and oils for uses such as pain relief, bug protection, and cleansing.
Canine Behavioral Consultations provide guidance for dog behavior and training using positive reinforcement.
